Overview

I am so excited to share the Svan Signet Complete High Chair with my readers! The Svan Signet is perfect for parents looking for a trendy but useful highchair for their little one! With settings from six months to young adults, this chair will last for years! The chair comes with a safety guard for younger babies, which removes as the child grows older. One highchair that works for all four of my kids? Now that’s a chair that will last! The Svan Signet retails for $249.95.

About the Company

Svan was created by two fathers in 1996 and was acquired by Scandinavian Child in 2011. Scandinavian Child is also the parent company of the French baby brand Beaba. Svan also makes ride on toys, booster chairs (you’ll be able to enter to win one of these below!), and a children’s table with chairs!

Assembly

I’ll be honest here, this thing was not as easy to assemble as I expected. Now putting things together isn’t my strong suit, so keep that in mind. I was able to assemble it in about thirty minutes. Svan has a great idea as far as parts though – all the parts were contained in a little plastic case so it was easy to see which piece was which and also if I had all of them. Much appreciated!

Features

My favorite thing about the Svan Signet Complete is the longevity, but a close second is the funtionality. This chair allows your little one to sit right up at the dinner table with the rest of the family! The chair is made from sustainable birch wood (plus one for eco-friendly!) and is super sturdy. You’ll be able to enjoy your little one’s company at the dinner table from six months and beyond – this chair is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers needing a little extra lift at the table, but not a complete high chair!

Adjustment

The Svan Signet has several adjustment points. The chair adjusts easily, but does need a special tool (similar to an allen wrench but not quite the same, so don’t lose this piece!). Each section is clearly labeled though, so you know where to put each piece based on the set up you’re using. One good thing, while the foot rest and seat need a special tool to be adjusted, the crotch bar/safety guard for infants does NOT need a special tool for adjustment, so it’s not something needed daily (we actually tapped ours to the bottom of the foot rest so it’ll be there when we do need it!).

The chair has a small foot print, so great for apartments or smaller kitchens (or great for those of us that have four kids at the dinner table!). The bottom has felt pieces so the wooden chair will not scratch your floors! The chair weighs less than 20lbs and is super easy to carry from room to room if needed – or to store away when not in use.

Tray Attachment

Baby Stage

The first stage of the Svan high chair is for babies six months and older. This stage has the foot rest adjusted to the highest setting and the safety guard on. The tray and chair pad can be used in this stage, as well the as the buckle/harness. The tray has a plastic cover for meal time and a wooden finish beneath. The tray also stores easily and securely on the back of the high chair! This is the stage I’m using for my 14 month old. He still needs the support of the tray and since the crotch bar is fully adjustable, he fits with room to grow!

Toddler Stage

The next stage of the Svan high chair is the removal of the safety guard. This is perfect for kids who want to climb into the chair without help but still need some support at the table. This stage doesn’t use the tray, but instead lets your child use the regular table.

Longevity

Since the seat height and foot rest height are completely adjustable, this chair will grow with your child well beyond the baby years! You can see in this pictures below all four of my kids fit wonderfully – ages 4, 3, 2, and 1! There aren’t many high chairs on the market that can say this!

     What a versatile high chair…. goes all the way from baby to teen! I think the beige high chair would go great with our dining room furnishings. The travel version would be so handy for trips to grandma’s and out to eat! I would choose the natural finish on that one.
