I have a Diet Coke addiction. I mean, it’s BAD. I spend way too much money on Diet Coke because the fountain drinks from the drive thru just taste better! In comes the SodaStream. We received the SodaStream Genesis (RV $120) and several flavors to try. I’m so excited to share this with you because it really does taste as good the drive thru sodas do! The SodaStream is so easy to use and doesn’t need batteries or electricity! Check out how easy it is:

Setting Up Your Machine:

We received the Genesis model so this is what came with it. The machine is really easy to set up, you just attach the carbonator and you’re good to go. You can see below what came with ours. Each model comes with a slightly different set up, but they all assemble in a similar fashion.

 

How It Works:

Step 1: Fill the carbonating bottle with water.

Step 2: Attach bottle to the machine.

The bottle just screws onto the machine, very easy.

Step 3: Carbonate your water.

To carbonate you just press the button on the top.

You can customize how little or how much carbonation you’d like.

Step 4: Add flavors.

You’re done!!

Now don’t make the same mistake I did here – add the flavor SLOWLY – otherwise you’re going to have a mess!

Cost Analysis:

SodaStream costs just 25 cents per can!! Even buying in bulk you can’t beat 25 cents per can and SodaStream offers you a drink variety you won’t find any where else!

Flavors Available:

SodaStream flavors contain no high fructose corn syrup and are lower calorie than traditional soda. This is great for people who prefer the taste of regular cola but not the calories! One 8oz serving of SodaStream regular cola has only 34 calories versus 100 calories in the same amount of traditional Coca Cola or Pepsi.

Regular flavors include: cola, cherry cola, lemon lime, ginger ale, cream soda, root beer, dr. pete, and grape. Diet flavors include: orange, cola, lime cola, peach iced tea, and pink grapefruit. There are also flavors from KoolAid, Country Time, Crystal Light, energy drink varieties, sparkling waters, “MyWater,” and more! With over 60 flavors available, there is something for everyone!

Accessories Available:

SodaStream has a huge variety of soda makers to fit every budget, need, and kitchen decor! They also sell a variety of carbonating bottles in various designs and sizes, as well as replacement caps and pieces. The carbonating bottles come in 1 L and .5L sizes.

    I have had this on my wish list forever. Both my sister and my niece have one and they absolutely love it, When I have visited, I have had a chance to “taste test” and it cannot be beat. It is so much better than any carbonated beverage you can get from any chain. I want this, obviously, and I love the idea that you can cut down on the sugar, and not use high fructose, since I am diabetic.

    I have diabetes and as expected suffer from huge dry mouth. I have tried diet soda but the aspartame really upsets my stomach, and plain water is just too boring. I would love to have one of these so that I can continue to drink soda with fewer calories. I love the taste of regular cola but when I am feeling adventurous I will stray to the cherry or root beer hee hee
